MILA 2.0 is a strong debut, full of action, intrigue, and most importantly, a great deal of heart. Mila is an identifiable character, whose struggles felt genuine and authentic, whether it was anticipating a first kiss, or running from her creators. Author Debra Driza kept the pace quick, and for a book not allowed to have many slow moments, I never felt overwhelmed by the twists and turns MILA 2.0 took. Reading this book felt somewhat like being on a roller coaster - you knew the speed would increase, the stakes would get higher, and your head would spin by the end, but you still didn't want the ride to be over.
Recommended to fans of science-fiction books with strong-yet-vulnerable female leads. I'm certainly looking forward to the sequel.
